How do you standardize city, county, and MSA information?

NetMinder uses standard Census Bureau and Post Office city, county and MSA designations based on the zip code for each practitioner/location. If you don’t find a city in the drop-down list, it is because the city is not an "official" post office city. If you search by county and subtotal by city and zip, you'll see the city associated with the zip you're interested in.

Where can I get a definition for each of the specialty codes/abbreviations?

Run the report you want. When you get the results, a list of specialties and corresponding codes will be on the Summary page of your report.

How are providers (practitioners) and locations counted in NetMinder?

There are three ways to view the data in NetMinder. Access Points shows each provider at each location he or she practices at; Unique Providers shows each provider once, regardless of the number of locations they have; Unique Locations shows each location once, regardless of the number of providers at each location.

Is there a limit to the number of reports I can run?

No — you can run as many reports as you want.

Can I share my username and password with other people in my office?

No. Each user in your office needs his or her own login. There's no limit to the number of users who can access NetMinder once you subscribe.

How often is the data updated in NetMinder?

We update our data twice a year — in March and September to make sure we get the latest information for the big spring and fall enrollment seasons.
